21st century Universal Manouche Tarot

This Universal Manouche tarot was conceived and drawn by Sandra JAYAT in 2002, painter and novelist born to Gypsy parents. The culture of the gypsies is an oral culture that has survived to the present day thanks to their method of listening to the words of the ancients.

The 22 major arcana, traces of which can be found on the 12 columns of Egyptian temples, follow in order the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. This tarot does not include, as in the majority of classic tarots, the emperor, the empress, etc ... because at the time of the creation of the tarots, these characters did not exist in the Gypsy tribes. They have been replaced here by men and women who hold universal qualities, which symbolize the divinatory aspect.
