Paul Marteau, as director of the Grimaud house, had one of the oldest tarots, that of Nicolas Conver (1761), reissued. Passionate about the symbols of the game, he explains the tarot cards in detail, including the minor arcana. He interpreted the symbolism through the costumes, faces, colors and numbers. His work reveals the hidden meaning of the images.
