Description
Description

This set of 55 black and gold cards ( including 2 jokers and an information card ) is in very very good condition. The pack has been opened as you can see but never played with.
The cardboard box shows a little damage (last picture).
These come from Baptiste Paul Grimaud, master Parisian card manufacturer since 1848. Igor Stravinsky's ballet 'Petrouchka' was created in 1911, and the court cards in this deck portray the characters in the ballet, wearing costumes designed for a production in 1948. The names of the characters are written in both French and English.
This famous ballet by Igor Stravinsky was performed in 1948 at the Ballet de l'Opera de Paris. The costumes that were created for the ballet are preserved at the Bibliotheque Nationale Opera de Paris and recreated here in this deck.
There are 55 cards, 52 regular cards, 2 jokers and one title card. The cards measure 2 7/16" x 3 7/16".
They are in very good condition, they slide when mixed.
The box has signs of wear as pictured.
