Jacques Vieville tarot 1984 - VERY RARE - Old Tarot de Marseille - Atypical Tarot

A faithful reproduction of the original dating from the 17th century, the Viéville Tarot is most often described as atypical, unclassifiable, due to its originality and respect for its original defects which give it all its charm and interest. !

Its creator Jacques Viéville, is most certainly a pseudonym of an engraver of which we know neither his date of birth nor that of his death, was a master cardmaker in Paris in the years 1643 to 1664. His tarot deck, published in 1650, preserved in Bibliothèque Nationale de France, is the only complete tarot from the 17th century.

This historical restitution includes the original orientation of the Tarot and the usual Marseille layout.
