Philosophers in history deck of cards (1793) - vintage deck of cards

Here is a deck of playing cards made in France. The depict renown philosophers in history, including Voltaire and Rousseau. The box says, “Jeu Des Philosophes de L’An II.” It also says, “Editions J.C. Dusserre Maitres Cartiers Boechat Freres, Made in France”

One of the cards says, “THIS PACK OF CARDS OF OUTSTANDING DISTINCTION WAS PUBLISHED IN PARIS BY MASTER GAYANT IN THE YEAR II (1793). THE PHILOSOPHERS HAVE REPLACED THE KINGS, THE VIRTUES THE QUEENS AND THE SOLDIERS OF THE REPUBLIC THE KNAVES. THE ORIGINAL IS PRESERVED IN THE BIBLIOTHEQUE NATIONALE IN PARIS.”

The cards appear to be barely used and are in excellent condition. The box shows just a little wear and closes nicely.
