Biography of Claire Bretécher:
Cartoonist and scriptwriter of comics, Claire Bretécher participated in 1965 in the newspaper Tintin then in Spirou, Pilote, Echo des Savanes and Le Nouvel Observateur. It was also at this time that she decided to embark on the adventure of self-publishing. The first work of Les Frustrés appeared in 1975. Apart from her comics, Claire Bretécher also practices painting with talent: as evidenced by a whole series of faces in colors, taken from her intimate notebooks and included in the albums Portraits (Editions Denoël in 1983), Moments de Lassitude (edited by the author in 1999) and Sentimental Portraits (La Martinière editions, 2004).
