The Book of Thoth, known in Egypt as the "Book of Life" or "Book of Manifestation" was passed on to mankind by the Egyptian God. So that it cannot be modified or destroyed, Thoth wanted it to be non-manifest on the terrestrial plane and offered men a skilful means of accessing it through the Tarot of Life - ancestor of the current Tarot de Marseille.

Thoth teaches that whoever manages to decipher the Meaning of the Tarot of Life and to experience it during his lifetime, reaches the state of Immortal, capable of carrying out his own crossing of the Nun, Primordial Ocean from which all things emanates and where everything returns.

This not as an ordinary card game, but as a means of connection and access to the Primordial Knowledge of Thoth - leading to the Gates of Awakening.
